SKEWEN
By: Tony (who lives there)
Skewen is a small village tucked away between the City of Swansea and the Town of Neath. Residents of Skewen have the best of both worlds with easy access to the larger shops of the City and enjoying the benefits of a smaller community. It's a pretty nice place to live with lots of things to do and within easy access of the main M4 Motorway. Visitors to Skewen won't go hungry with a large selection of cafe's and takeaways to choose from .... chip shops, chinese, indian, burger bars and more. Favourite shops include Jeffereys the grocery store and his friendly staff (hope he manages to fend off the competition from Tesco's who've opened up close by) and New Road Dynasty Chinese Takeaway, who always remember your name from your voice when you phone up to order food .... good grub too.
All in all I like living in Skewen .... it's shops, it's park, it's location and more. I'd like to see less traffic in the main street because it sometimes becomes a bit of a bottleneck but apart from that it's as nice a place as any to live, and a whole lot nicer than most.
